Data drop: Member interactions

This month's data drop is 230.

In the first quarter of 2017, Face It TOGETHER affiliates had an average of 230 in-person visits with members.

Face It TOGETHER (FIT) peer coaches provide high quality practical, social and emotional support to empower people to successfully manage their disease. Interactions with our members, through our peer coaches, can occur in person, over the phone or via technology (email, text messaging, video, smart phone app).

Someone meets the definition of a member if they are enrolled in a FIT affiliate peer coaching program (person with disease or loved one) and are being coached by a FIT-trained peer coach (person with disease or loved one) using the FIT peer coaching model they were trained on.

On average, in 2017 Q1, FIT affiliates had 1,160 member interactions per month as compared to 668 in 2016 (Figure 1). In that same time frame, FIT affiliates had:

  • 230 in person visits with members per month, compared to 151 in 2016;
  • 31 emails with members per month, compared to 24 in 2016;
  • 546 SMS (text messages) with members per month, compared to 236 in 2016; and
  • 155 scheduled calls (coaching & check-ins) with members per month, compared to 151 in 2016.

Face It TOGETHER assesses member progress and uses this information to measure baseline and track intervention effectiveness, allowing the peer coaches to monitor member progress and tailor their support.

The frequency and type of interactions between our coaches and members is just one of the many output-type measures that we are using in multidimensional evaluation of our programming.
