An addiction survivor, Kevin Kirby is the co-founder and former CEO of Face It TOGETHER. Our story began in 2007 when Kevin connected with Charlie Day, a lawyer, CPA and health care finance expert. After establishing a network of sober living homes and an addiction treatment program in Sioux Falls, Kevin felt something more fundamental had to change in order for more people to get well from addiction.

Kevin and Charlie’s work led to a seven-month community town hall process that enlisted the private, public and social service sectors to identify shared solutions to addiction in the community. These meetings led to the creation of Face It TOGETHER, a South Dakota-based, peer addiction management nonprofit, in 2009.

In 2013, Kevin was elected to the prestigious global Ashoka Fellowship for his work as a social entrepreneur with a “systems-changing idea” for an intractable social problem. Kevin’s background includes owning and operating a nationwide financial services business, private equity and decades of public company board experience.

He lives with his wife Peggy in Sioux Falls, SD and La Quinta, CA.
