Lived experience:

I started drinking alcohol and using drugs when I was 11 years old. I was in my first outpatient treatment program by the time I was 14 and I was in my first inpatient treatment when I was 16. Since then I've been in numerous treatment programs. I was homeless for about two years and in jail multiple times. In 2016 I joined a sober living home and started my recovery.

Professional background:

I started working for the Heartview Foundation on the residential side in 2018, where I still fill in when needed. I have also chaired several 12-step meetings.

Expertise:

12-step meetings, sober living, criminal justice system, homelessness

Interests:

I enjoy playing volleyball, riding bike, kayaking and other outdoor events. I also like to attend 12-step conventions in other states. Helping people in addiction recovery is very important to me.
