Coach type: Person with addiction and loved one (volunteer)

Lived experience:

My journey to wellness began in 1994 when I completed an inpatient treatment at Hazelden for my alcohol addiction. Six years later I graduated from Hazelden’s Counselor Training Program and became a Licensed Addiction Counselor in North Dakota. Today, it’s an honor to walk with clients who are making positive changes in their lives.

Professional background:

After getting licensed, I worked at the Youth Correctional Center in Mandan and at Heartview in Bismarck, prior to moving to West Fargo. In addition to coaching at Face It TOGETHER, I serve as a Care Coordinator for Free Through Recovery. I’m passionate about helping people become well from addiction and have extensive training working with people who have loved ones suffering from this disease.

Expertise:

Counseling, loved one support, care coordination, youth

Interests:

I’m married with two sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law and six granddaughters who thrill me to no end. I love life and believe we can all have more peace in our hearts and joy in our lives as we move forward together. Life is a gift!
