Coach type: Person with addiction (volunteer)
Coaching since: 2018
I grew up in a home with addiction and I struggled with the disease for more than two decades. During a five-county jail tour, I started attending 12-step meetings and learning about the science of addiction. Hearing the stories of other women who were struggling opened my eyes and helped me begin my recovery journey.
Even in a lifetime of addiction, there is hope for wellness.
I come from a sales and business management background. Having brought value to companies throughout my career, I now work to bring value to people.
As a Face It TOGETHER coach, I enjoy seeing the change to wellness from our members over time. I get excited about the data we collect and use to serve those whose lives have been affected by this disease.
Criminal justice system, trauma, twelve-step meetings, business, housing
I enjoy personal development, faith and crafts. I’m also a big advocate for self-care and self-acceptance – we’re never fully done taking care of ourselves.
